Here’s a telecommute (work-at-home) job posting that I saw today. This book blogger job is for you if you love reading books! Book lovers, pay attention – you might just earn extra cash reviewing for one of the most reputable book review websites.

Kirkus Book Blogger Wanted

Kirkus Reviews is looking for book bloggers and reviewers who can review books for their website two weeks after these books have been assigned to them. That means you should be able to finish a book and write your review within two weeks! That’s not difficult, really, especially because a lot of book lovers can finish books in one sitting. Okay, maybe in two. Smile

Book Blogger Job Description

If you’re interested in this blogger job, pay attention to the job details below. Make sure you can meet the requirements before you apply for this writing job which is really cool, if I may say so!

  • You are willing to review English books. If you can speak Spanish, you can also review Spanish books if you wish. You will be reviewing are self-published (indie) books for this blogging job.
  • You can review books of any length, genre, and format. That means you can read and write a review for a paperback, a hardbound book, or even an e-book. You shouldn’t be too picky; you might be asked to review a history book, a biography, or even an erotic novel!
  • Your review should be about 350 words long. Most reviews on Kirkus are about this long. There is a format you need to follow, which you will learn along the way.

Are You The Book Blogger Kirkus Is Looking For?

I don’t want to be redundant, but seriously, this blogger job rocks! If you love to read and you have a gazillion books at home, please do apply for this job! This is, after all, a telecommute job and you can do it in between publishing posts on your own blogs.

If you’re interested, prepare your curriculum vitae and submit samples of your work. I suggest that you submit a book review you’ve written before. You can also submit your genre preferences to make sure your application is processed according to your chosen specialty.

Send all the above info to David Rapp – he’s the editor of indie books over at Kirkus - via drapp at kirkus dot com. Good luck! I hope you nab this book blogger job! You can also browse through other writing and blogging jobs on the job board.
