You just attended a great event and you took awesome photos. Congratulations! All you have to do now is publish a blog post. Oh well, you can always do that a week from now, right?

procrastination apps

I know how you feel. I usually procrastinate when I’m tired and up to my neck in deadlines! Procrastinating makes me feel better. In fact, procrastination isn’t always bad.

However, delaying our tasks too long might make information stale. We want to deliver timely blog posts – that’s a given. Sadly, it’s easier said than done.

We can blog like pros… but can we do it later?

That’s why I have apps in my gadgets that actually help me fight procrastination! You’re going to love some of them while you might find the others useless, but it’s all about finding what really works for you.

The app that will be most effective for you will depend on how and why you procrastinate. Are you always checking your Facebook whenever you hear a ding? Can’t live without logging on to Twitter and scrolling down your feed?

Or are you stuck in a rut and despite the absence of distractions, you just can’t find the words? We procrastinate for different reasons. Try out all the tools, find out which encourages you to forego your delaying tactics, and stick to one – or all – that seems useful.

I just hope you give each tool a try. It takes time to change your habits!

Some say it takes about 21 days or so to either develop a new habit or break an old one. (Now you know why the Smart Blogger Challenge lasts 21 days!)

These apps and programs have been developed to help us overcome our bad habits! Don’t give up on an app until you’ve tried it for a few days. Trust your gut, but don’t try to undermine the power of each tool before you give it a fair chance.

I hope at least one of these tools becomes a mainstay in your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Technology sometimes keeps us from the tasks we need to complete; now, technology can help us focus and overcome procrastination!

Start changing your habits by joining the 21-Day Smart Blogger Challenge! There are 5 days left before the challenge ends. Type your email address into the email updates field (scroll down to find it) and check your inbox for the next step.
